Job description

A leading consumer goods business are seeking a skilled Contract Electrical Technician to join their dynamic team. As an integral part of their organisation, you will contribute to the development and assembly of high-quality electronic products. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in PCBA assembly, electronic testing, and electrical lab management, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within their electrical teams.

Responsibilities:

· Perform PCBA assembly of electrical boards and product assembly in compliance with specifications.

· Conduct comprehensive electronic testing on various products and systems, generating detailed reports and analysis to drive improvements.

· Manage and maintain the electrical lab, ensuring the proper calibration, upkeep, and functionality of all testing equipment.

· Work closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions, contributing to product quality enhancement.

· Collaborate across departments to ensure products meet high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications:

· A degree or equivalent in a relevant area

· Proven experience in PCBA assembly and electrical product assembly.

· Proficiency in electronic testing techniques, with a strong ability to produce detailed, clear reports and analysis.

· Expertise in managing an electrical lab, including equipment calibration and maintenance.

· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

· Assemble electrical boards and products following precise technical specifications.

· Perform electronic testing to identify and troubleshoot issues, providing valuable insights for product improvement.

· Maintain a high standard of operation in the electrical lab, ensuring all equipment is up-to-date, calibrated, and properly maintained.
