Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery, reading electrical drawings and fault finding on furnaces, cranes, and CNC machines.

The contract is 6 months (with permanent option), offering day and night shifts on a 4-on/4-off pattern, 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am. PAYE up to £30/h or umbrella £40/h for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

PPM and reactive maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
Strong fault-finding on electrical systems and ability to read electrical drawings.
PLC fault finding and high voltage experience desirable.
ONC/HNC/City & Guilds qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose faults across electrical and mechanical systems on industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out electrical fault finding.
Monitor machinery performance and identify recurring faults and improvements.
Work closely with production teams to respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
