As a manager, you will organize and supervise the unit according to Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, the contract specifications, and statutory regulations. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient management of resources, overseeing food preparation and service, and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and managing the team reporting to you
  • Communicating, motivating, and guiding your management team and catering staff daily
  • Taking responsibility for food quality and health and safety procedures in the college catering department
  • Promoting the unit and representing Compass positively
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders effectively
  • Ensuring high standards of client hospitality and seeking feedback
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement and innovation
  • Monitoring budgets and taking corrective actions when necessary
  • Meeting all customer requirements to their satisfaction
