We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Assurance Technician to join the Water Distribution at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

To provide assurance over the cost and quality of service partner work delivered through the Water Services Partnership, through on-site audits, remedial supervision, and on-site partner support.

Where you fit in:

As our Contract Assurance Technician you will
  • Review / audit work carried out by service partners and ensure it has been carried out to the correct specifications and legal, safety and environmental standards.
  • Review job cost data and compare against on-site audit findings to ensure applications are representative of the works carried out.
  • Work with the key stakeholders within YW and service partners to develop and implement actions to improve any quality/commercial issues arising from audits.
  • Capture data from site inspections and audits.
  • Carry out analysis of inspection/audit data to identify recurring issues.
  • Present findings to YW and service partner stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Attend site with service partners while undertaking Remedial works to provide assurance that Remedial work is being fed-back appropriately.
  • Attend site to support service partners where Field/Leakage are unable to attend and non-attendance would result in a wasted cost.
  • Be able to instil excellent performance by setting clear expectations of our partners linked to business targets.
  • Drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, environmental compliance and quality of workmanship.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately via the correct forums.
  • Fact finding and analysis of current ways of working to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage and communicate with partners and respective management teams to ensure issues are highlighted and effective solutions and ways of working are developed and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Work with Clean Water partners to maintain professional, effective relationships.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
  • Excellent knowledge of Clean Water operations and functions.
  • Good H&S knowledge, experience, and skills.
  • Excellent customer service ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Knowledge of contractual legislation and YW Service Partner policies/processes in relation to the role.
  • Good understanding of current industry repair methods and practices.
  • Full driving license
