Job description

  • Salary up to £41,500, depending on experience.
  • Permanent and full-time position.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with on call rota.
  • Site based role at HMP Peterborough.

Your Role as a Contract and Assurance Manager

In this strategic role, you will be the key point of contact for contractual and performance matters at HMP Peterborough. You’ll be responsible for overseeing compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying areas for continuous improvement across the site.

You will coordinate action plans from audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring that they are completed on time and to a high standard. Your insight will support the Senior Leadership Team in decision-making, while you also lead monthly assurance meetings and prepare strategic reports for the Director and client.

With strong analytical skills, you will assess performance trends, manage the risk register, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. This role is central to maintaining high standards, promoting a culture of accountability, and ensuring contractual success.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience working in justice or secure facility setting.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent data interpretation and performance reporting ability.
  • Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience in assurance, governance, and contract management.
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as HMIP, CQC, or PPO.
