Role Overview: As a CI Technician (internally known as an LCO Area Technician), you will be responsible for maintaining operational standards within your area, reducing unplanned downtime, and increasing line efficiency through systematic Continuous Improvement (CI) work. You will also enable and coach operators on technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure departmental compliance with Arla’s standards regarding Food Safety, H&S, and Environment, including internal process confirmations. Lead weekly CI meetings focused on unplanned stops and top losses, applying structured LEAN problem-solving tools and PDCA.
  • Collaborate with teams on CI improvement activities, quantify improvements, and track benefits. Own and monitor data for your area, addressing deviations and implementing preventative maintenance.
  • Own Operator Asset Care standards and develop team competence.
  • Define, confirm, and improve operational standards within the area. Train and coach line teams to meet these standards.
  • Maintain a cost-efficient and stable production process, focusing on SIC and KPIs. Participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings to drive performance.
  • Support project implementation, technology, and process upgrades. Build strong relationships with internal and external functions.

The core team receives support from site functions including Planning, Maintenance & Engineering, QEHS, and Operational Support for daily operations and improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma/KAIZEN or similar methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
