Opportunity - Continuous Improvement Technician

We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Technician to join our high-performing operations team at our Crick site.

The Role - Continuous Improvement Technician

As a Continuous Improvement Technician based at our Crick site, you'll play a vital role in embedding Operational Excellence and unleashing the potential of our manufacturing operations. You'll be at the heart of our mission, using proven CI tools and techniques to help every product reach pets in top form.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety and Lean Deployment

Champion health & safety through best practice, including LOTO and safety observations

Deploy Lean tools like 5S, Standards & Centrelines, Defect Handling, and CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate)

Analysis and Problem Solving

Analyse production data to identify root causes of downtime and losses

Build and implement 'Loss Trees' and action plans across model lines

Lead waste-reduction initiatives tackling transport, motion, waiting, overproduction, defects, and more

Deliver measurable gains in OEE, cost savings, quality, and efficiency

Coaching & CI Culture

Coach operational colleagues to build a CI culture and drive sustainable improvements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

C.I. experience in manufacturing or logistics (food or FMCG background ideal)

Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset

Solid understanding of Lean tools and continuous improvement principles

Able to coach, influence, and engage across different levels and teams

Comfortable working autonomously, meeting deadlines, and supporting strategic site goals

Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Passionate about progress-with a love for pets, too

The Offer - Continuous Improvement Technician

Location: Crick (On-site)

Bonus: 10% annual company bonus scheme

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Pension: Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 8% (salary sacrifice company pension scheme)

Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
