Based in Surrey, hybrid working

In this interim role, you will join the Senior CI practitioner to embed a continuous improvement culture in a local Surrey council, actively engaging in and leading the implementation of CI initiatives that have been prioritised through their strategic design authority.


Key Responsibilities of the Interim Continuous Improvement Practitioner:

  • Supporting senior leaders to identify process improvements, increased capability and digital enhancements to bring improvement opportunities to life for everyone at all levels
  • Collaborating with operational departments to inform and support projects, to ensure a high performing service delivery organisation, making best use of public money
  • Deliver crucial transformational strategies to build organisational change capability, with a focus on core skills, pathways to expertise, change confidence and building a sustainable continuous improvement culture
  • To be aware of the council’s policy on risk management and to escalate any emerging or potential risks to the line manager

Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Continuous Improvement Practitioner:

  • Experience within Local Government, ideally working in continuous professional development to support a programme of change for a complex organisation
  • Strong technical skills (software such as MS Office, Power BI, Google Analytics, etc)
  • Experience in training others to understand and use continuous improvement tools/techniques, with the ability to build confidence and capability in others to embrace change in a complex environment
