Job summary

Premier Foods in Lifton, Devon, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the site CI strategy and drive Lean/ Six Sigma initiatives across Operations. You will develop roadmaps, coach teams and deliver cost-saving projects while ensuring customer demand is met.

Experience with Lean tools, Sigma Six, cross-functional leadership and data-driven problem solving is essential. We offer circa £70,000, private medical insurance, pension and staff benefits at a modern, inclusive site.

Qualifications

• Sigma six qualification and experience of Lean tools and systems.
• Ability to lead and coordinate successful cross-functional improvements as necessary.
• Demonstrable analytical skills, including the use of root cause problem-solving tools.
• Able to train others in lean methods.
• Able to link the lean activities to the wider business performance and benefits, well versed in financial management and analysis.
• A sound understanding of the manufacturing process and its variables.
• A sound understanding of core business processes and drivers.
• Ability to stratify data and complete pareto analysis to identify CI projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement Road Map in line with the site operational plans.
• Develop process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows to ensure continuous and reliable performance and outputs ensuring customer demand can be met.
• Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions to inform executable plans.
• Build relationships and influence site operational teams to deliver on site CI initiatives.
• Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls and delivering site CI Cost saving targets.
• Setting the agenda for and manage Continuous Improvement across the site.
