Job summary

Cytix in Manchester is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join the AppSec Engineering team with hybrid options (office twice a month or remote). The role focuses on integrating continuous penetration testing into the SDLC across web, API, and mobile apps.

Collaborate with in-house developers and clients to shape Cytix products, perform risk reviews, and push for security improvements. Requires 2+ years in offensive security; offers equity, private healthcare, and an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Penetration Testing or application security roles.
• Experience collaborating with developers and clients to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Penetration tests of web apps, APIs, and mobile apps for clients.
• Identify vulnerabilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive remediations.
• Perform risk reviews of application changes as part of continuous security testing.
• Collaborate with developers and teams to strengthen security and resilience.
