Continuity of Business & Crisis Management Lead - SVP

The COB & CM Senior Lead Analyst will be essential within Enterprise Resilience, reporting directly to the Global Head of Enterprise Resilience Methodology. This position will oversee the governance and execution of issues management and corrective action plan (CAP) processes across the institution, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the resolution of complex issues, fostering a culture of accountability, and enhancing Cit's resilience against operational disruptions.


Key Responsibilities:

Issues Management Leadership:
  • Oversee the enterprise-wide framework for issues identification, assessment, documentation, and resolution, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal risk management standards.
  • Develop and implement robust governance processes for tracking, escalating, and closing issues within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Business Units, to address identified gaps and implement sustainable solutions.
Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Oversight:
  • Lead the development, approval, and implementation of corrective action plans, ensuring timely and effective remediation of identified issues.
  • Monitor CAP milestones, proactively identify potential delays, and drive accountability across stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide independent challenge and validation of CAPs, ensuring adherence to best practices and addressing root causes effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
  • Act as a primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, on matters related to issues management and CAPs.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, board committees, and regulators, highlighting key trends, risks, and resolution status.
  • Partner with Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Technology Resilience, and Operational Risk teams to integrate issues management into broader resilience initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive enhancements to issues management and CAP frameworks, leveraging technology and analytics to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
  • Build and maintain a culture of proactive risk identification and resolution through training, education, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices in operational resilience and risk management.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in risk management, operational resilience, compliance, or related fields within a global financial institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in issues management, corrective action plan oversight, and regulatory engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to operational resilience, including FFIEC, Basel, and other global standards.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders across multiple business units and functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and develop practical, risk-based solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior executives and regulatory bodies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management tools and systems (e.g., iCAPs).
  • Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
