Job Title: Housing Officer - Initial Accommodation (IA)
Department: Contingency Operations
Reporting to: Initial Accommodation Team Leader
Location: Reading, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Devon and Surrey
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5pm)
Salary: £32,000.00 per annum


Lead, Support, and Safeguard in Initial Accommodation!
Are you a proactive and organised professional ready to manage critical housing operations and support a dedicated team? We're seeking a Housing Officer to oversee all aspects of our Initial Accommodation sites in North West London, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and the highest standards of care.


What You'll Do:


  • Operational Management: Plan and prioritise property inspections, conduct audits, and report outcomes to ensure operational excellence and compliance.

  • Team Leadership: Guide and support on-site teams, ensuring they meet standards, maintain up-to-date training, and achieve Key Performance Objectives (KPOs).

  • Safeguarding & Support: Champion the safeguarding of all service users within IA accommodation, providing practical support and handling complaints effectively.

  • Communication & Compliance: Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, manage records, keep systems updated, and ensure adherence to contract legislation.

  • Emergency Response: Provide on-call cover during peak times or emergencies, ready to handle extensive travel as required.
