Continence Nurse - Health Child Programme 0-19, Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust

Join our team as a Continence Nurse within the Health Child Programme 0-19 at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a paediatric nurse or a qualified nurse with paediatric experience who is innovative, motivated, and creative. You will lead service delivery to promote continence and manage incontinence among children and young people aged 0-19, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to advise, support, treat, and signpost children, young people, and their families.

Key responsibilities
  • Assess children's continence needs, plan, implement, and monitor care.
  • Provide specialist advice to parents, carers, and professionals.
  • Develop, lead, and deliver a continence service for children and families.
  • Carry out assessments, analyze complex information, and evaluate clinical care.
  • Support and supervise staff and train parents/carers on continence management.
  • Refer children to specialists and coordinate care plans.
  • Participate in team planning, training, and service development.
