Overview

Front Line Genomics is at a pivotal stage of development and growth. To scale the impact of our social mission and our commercial performance, we seek an ambitious producer to join the production team. The role comprises several elements as follows.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to business and events strategy. influence the overall business and events strategy immediately, and help develop the strategy for events you produce.
  • Build strategically meaningful partnerships. Engage with key individuals and organisations to support mutual objectives.
  • Production: research with scientists and others; develop relationships with key contacts; document research notes for the project team.
  • Agenda / product building: write compelling agendas / outlines for conferences, webinars, and the Festivals.
  • Speaker acquisition: secure a diverse, world-class speaker line-up.
  • Speaker management: manage invitations, information gathering, collateral, and ongoing speaker relationships.
  • Drive financial and social performance: optimize financial metrics and align products with the social mission.
  • Guide successful event delivery: brief the team and incorporate feedback to refine the product.
  • Event operations: support successful event delivery; travel to UK and USA events; contribute to digital events such as webinars.
  • Culture and development: personal development through team training.
  • Support and strengthen team culture and values: transparency, positivity, commitment to excellence, friendliness, and every idea counts.
Qualifications
  • Education: A first or 2.1 bachelor's degree in a biological sciences subject. A Masters or PhD is a plus.
  • Experience: As a graduate role, no prior event production experience is necessary; relevant work experience, including scientific events, is a plus.
  • Other characteristics: A love of science, strong organizational and writing/editing skills, eye for detail, enjoyment of talking to scientists and medical professionals, independence and proactivity, and transparent, direct communication.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Remuneration: £30,000 - £32,000 salary dependent on experience, plus anticipated bonus of £6,000-£8,000+. Excellent opportunities for career and salary progression.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days holiday plus 8 public holidays per year; birthday additional day after probation.
  • Pension: Contributory group pension scheme after three months.
  • Remote working: Work from home with 1 day per month in London for team meet-ups.
