Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor

This prestigious award-winning firm is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its highly regarded team in Bristol. This full-time, office-based role (with some flexibility for remote working) offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in contentious probate law and work alongside a supportive, experienced team.

Offices in UK cities including Bristol, Paris, and Milan. The Contentious Probate Team is highly ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, with extensive expertise in complex probate disputes.

The Role: As a Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will:

1. Manage a diverse caseload of contentious probate matters, including:

• Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act claims
• Will challenges (capacity, knowledge, approval)
• Trust disputes, executor and trustee issues
• Proprietary estoppel, construction, and rectification claims
• Court of Protection disputes

Handle both bringing and defending claims, providing expert legal advice and representation. Work alongside experienced professionals, including Full Members of ACTAPS. Support the team in business development and enhancing the firm's profile. Ensure high client satisfaction and maintain excellent relationships.

Skills & Experience: 5-10 years PQE in contentious probate, with consideration for less experienced candidates interested in this area. Strong technical knowledge or willingness to develop expertise. Excellent communication skills, able to manage own caseload, proactive, confident, and team-oriented.
