Contentious Probate Lawyer - NQ to 4 Years PQE
Location: Bristol

Are you a Newly Qualified Lawyer looking to specialise in Contentious Probate? We have a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and highly respected team at a Legal 500 firm based in central Bristol where you will be working across inheritance and will disputes, estate administration challenges, and trust-related litigation.

The Role:

  • Building your own caseload across a broad spectrum of contentious probate matters.
  • Handling inheritance disputes, opposed and unopposed applications, and complex estate challenges.
  • Advising on trusts, validity of wills, undue influence, fraud, and property disputes.
  • Working alongside different departments to offer strategic, cross-team legal support.
  • Contributing to the team's national reputation for excellence, recognised by The Legal 500.
  • Taking responsibility for legal drafting, negotiations, and settlement agreements.
  • Engaging in advocacy where required, ensuring strong representation for clients.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer or FCILEx (0-4 years PQE) with experience in litigation or private client work.
  • Eager and passionate about specialising in contentious probate, with strong technical ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and communication skills
  • ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists) membership is a bonus, but training can be provided.
