Job description

This is a mid-level Contentious Construction Counsel role available on a remote basis for a UK resident. The role is within an established team.

Client Details

Our client is a listed, major UK brand.

Description

Working as part of a team of 8 contentious construction specialists, you will support the business on disputes of varying sizes.

You will:

  1. Have responsibility for your own smaller cases, working on them with supervision as needed (the team maintains an open and collaborative working relationship).
  2. Support the business and the rest of the team on larger matters, including managing external counsel.
Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales. Given the level of work, team structure, and remuneration, candidates are likely to have between 4 and 10 years of PQE.

They will have in-depth experience in Construction Law and Litigation, gained either in private practice or within the legal team of an established construction sector brand.

If a candidate has both contentious and non-contentious expertise, at least 50% of their experience should be in contentious work.

Desirable:

Knowledge of Copilot or willingness to learn how it functions.
