Job Title: Content Writer

Department: Marketing

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Location: Neasden

Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office weekly

The role:

The Content Writer will form a key part of our Marketing team, developing engaging digital content across our business divisions, creating both online and offline marketing materials.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, proofreading articles before publication, and delivering quality written content that appeals to our audiences, attracts customers, and boosts brand awareness.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Create clear and engaging written content for websites, press releases, brochures, presentations, social media posts, blog posts, scripts for videos, product descriptions, and marketing projects.
• Research industry-related topics using online sources, interviews, and studies.
• Proofread and edit content before publication, conduct keyword research, and apply SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
• Write succinct, accurate, and engaging product descriptions, adhering to SEO best practices, and work closely with the team to launch new products.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and the Marketing Team to produce copy and develop engaging content for product launches, including packaging, press releases, promotional material, social media, and e-commerce content.
• Identify customer needs and content gaps to recommend new topics.
• Ensure consistency in style, fonts, images, and tone.
• Work with the wider team to develop and report on marketing content strategies.
• Develop and evolve tone of voice guidelines aligned with brand values and digital best practices.
• Show initiative and suggest ideas for new content and improvements in quality and efficiency.
• Contribute to the direction of content strategy, including content presentation and publication channels for maximum impact.

Required Skills:

• A relevant degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or similar, supported by at least 5 years of experience in producing marketing content, ideally in a product-driven or technical environment.
• A natural storyteller with a passion for writing and creativity, aiming to solve customer problems through accurate and adaptable content.
• Outstanding command of written English.
• Technical ability to understand and write about features and applications of technical products with impeccable grammar and tone.
• Experience in digital content writing, SEO, and optimization tools.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of consumer behavior and technical products.
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to execute effectively and deliver accurate results with attention to detail.
