Content Specialist - Luxury Travel

Competitive base salary of £35,000 per annum, plus benefits, Hybrid role, 2 days in, 3 days from home

One of UK’s leading multi-award winning luxury travel brand is on the hunt for a highly organised and detail-focused Content Specialist to join their dynamic travel marketing team in a central London location.

The role will oversee the management and optimisation of the tour operator's website content. A core part of this role will be maintaining and updating the Content Management System (CMS) to ensure accuracy, functionality, and seamless user experience. The Content Executive will also be responsible for implementing on-page SEO optimisations, ensuring that website content aligns with best practices for search visibility. Additionally, you will support the wider marketing team by assisting with social media content when required, collaborating across departments to maintain consistency in brand messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update content within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and consistency across all website pages.
  • Implement on-page SEO optimisations, incorporating keyword research, meta descriptions, internal linking, and formatting for search engines.
  • Ensure all written content adheres to editorial standards and enhances user engagement.
  • Create engaging blogs and articles that support brand messaging, attract readers, and align with SEO best practices.
  • Working alongside external SEO agency for recommendations and support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the presentation of website content, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  • Assist with social media content as part of the broader marketing team, ensuring consistency across digital platforms.
  • Stay up to date with travel industry trends to enhance content strategy and improve audience engagement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in Marketing, PR, English, or a related field, preferred but not essential.
  • Strong experience in CMS management and website content optimisation.
  • Experience in writing and posting blogs, ideally using WordPress
  • Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices, including keyword targeting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language, both with and without AI writing tools.
  • Keen eye for high-quality imagery selection.
  • Self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
