Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Content Specialist reporting to the Senior Manager – Brand & Content. As the Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging written and visual content tailored to the business and the industries we serve. You will work across many teams with the goal of improving the quality and volume of content for our target audience, both internally and externally, to drive engagement for the John Crane brand.

The role is located at our headquarters within the Slough site, with a hybrid working model, Monday to Friday during normal office hours.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Create product and service descriptions to support communication campaigns and product/service launches
  • Develop whitepapers, blog posts, and case studies with industry and company experts
  • Ensure content aligns with brand messaging, industry trends, and customer needs
  • Manage content calendars and related delivery
  • Work with website optimization lead to ensure content is SEO-optimized and track performance metrics
  • Collaborate across departments to create a consistent and unified brand voice across all channels, aligning marketing content with the company's overall vision and business strategies
  • Experiment with new content formats and marketing tactics to enhance communication effectiveness
  • Proofread and edit materials prepared internally and externally
  • Demonstrate excellent copywriting skills; native English speaker required
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in B2B marketing communications preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and be detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
