Content Officer

Wales (Hybrid)

The Organisation

Our client makes a difference to families and children throughout Wales by supporting welfare and early years learning.

To achieve this, they lead on developing and regulating the workforce, service improvement, and data and research to improve welfare.

They are now looking for a Welsh-speaking Content Officer to join them for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. This role is offered with flexible working options, and they will consider candidates as part of a job share.

You must be based in the UK to apply for this role and be able to visit one of our client’s offices in Wales when required.

The Role

As a Content Officer, you will create clear, accessible, and engaging content for our client’s online and offline audiences.

Making sure content is clear, easy to understand, and in line with corporate standards, you’ll use the best channels to reach audiences, including the website and social media platforms. You’ll also develop marketing and communication plans for your content and analyze performance data and user feedback to improve reach and engagement.

You’ll work to understand audience needs and produce content that effectively engages them, such as web pages, news articles, emails, and social media posts. You’ll also guide colleagues on preparing content that meets user needs and adheres to branding and accessibility guidelines.

About You

To be considered as a Content Officer, you’ll need:

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Welsh
  • Experience as a writer and/or editor
  • Experience researching and analyzing audience needs and creating campaigns accordingly
  • Experience structuring, designing, and publishing user-centered content online and offline
  • Experience creating and delivering marketing and communication campaigns across various channels
  • Experience sub-editing and proofreading, simplifying complex or technical content into plain English or Welsh
  • Knowledge of HTML content, website content management systems, and SEO
  • Understanding of producing accessible content, including text, video, and graphics
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing and communication plans
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data, including web analytics
