- Monitor, moderate user-generated content such as comments. Moderate publisher-generated content against preset Customer guidelines.
- Approval/rejection of content/comments in compliance & non-compliance with customer guidelines, respectively.
- Keep track, be aware of news, current affairs, especially international markets like the US.
- Identify gaps/gray areas in policies & guidelines based on ground truth data.
- Store, document edge cases, nuanced examples among moderated content to create referenceable repositories.
- Experience as a content moderator, social media moderator, or equivalent newsroom experience – print/digital/TV.
- Familiarity with news & media editorial policies.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound judgment calls.
- Degree in journalism/communication/English or similar field.
- English expert level certifications.
