Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist (Pensions and Investment)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Edinburgh, Alderley Edge or London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

A newly created position is available for a Content Marketing Specialist experienced in pensions and investments-related content marketing planning and delivery. The role involves building out our investment content strategy and executing content plans to support our Brand & Marketing strategy and trading objectives.

The responsibilities include creating compelling content in various formats, collaborating with marketing teams to deploy content, and measuring its effectiveness. The role also entails working closely with other business areas, including Royal London Asset Management, to repurpose relevant content.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in content marketing within the financial services industry.

About the role
  • Plan, develop, and deliver investment content aligning with the marketing plan, using appropriate formats and media.
  • Ensure content activities support new business targets and strategic objectives, including brand building.
  • Manage day-to-day content planning and delivery, identifying themes for adviser, customer, and employer audiences.
  • Utilize data and insights to test, learn, and optimize content.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to support major campaigns and initiatives.
  • Identify and manage internal specialists and external suppliers, including agencies and freelancers, to support content activities.
  • Partner with other business areas to identify opportunities and develop compelling messages and content.
About you
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; experience in a similar role or journalistic background preferred.
  • Experience creating content for various formats and audiences, including promotional and thought leadership content.
  • Good knowledge of pensions and investments, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations relevant to content.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker capable of hitting the ground running.
