Job description

Our Content team are looking for a Content Manager with experience working on digital transformation projects to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. It is a truly exciting time to be joining as we move into phase 2 of our replatforming, and you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating a seamless and engaging customer experience across web, app, email and social media.

You will be responsible for mapping messages and campaigns across the ecosystem of digital channels, while also driving optimum channel performance and effectiveness across our various categories including fashion, beauty, food and home.

About The Role

You’ll need to marry commercial requirements and trade activity with storytelling that aligns to customer and marketing strategies.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Media, Trade and Buying to develop and implement a multichannel content strategy driven by data insights.

  • Support the development and implementation of Harrods' digital content strategy in line with brand values and business objectives.
  • Oversee a team of four direct reports, providing leadership guidance and day-to-day management: Deputy Content Manager, Social Media Manager, Content Operations Executive and Content Assistant.
  • Collaborate with UX and design teams to schedule site testing, optimising content to drive behaviour-changing conclusions.
  • Work with CRM to refine the .com email schedule and increase traffic to digital editorial.
  • Own the digital content calendar and prioritise content for homepage, navigation, and site promotional banners.
  • Work with new Personalisation team to ensure consistency of dynamic content across app and web.
  • Facilitate joined-up conversations for new requirements such as new web pages, services, booking tools and links to 3rd parties.
  • Responsible for reporting digital content performance, analysing reports against targets, and offering strategic recommendations.
  • Evaluate content performance in collaboration with CRM, ecommerce, and merchandising teams to optimise sales conversion.

About You

You will have strong technical knowledge and be confident working closely with Technology teams and use analytics and data to inform your decision making within content management.

  • Proven experience in digital content management and strategy.
  • Thorough understanding of digital channels and analytics tools, and experience turning data analysis into actionable recommendations for content direction and optimising channel performance.
  • Strong strategic conviction, able to instigate agile change and continual evolution among teams.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in luxury or retail industries preferred, showcasing an ability to deliver results in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence and inform stakeholders at a senior level.
