Role: Content Manager

Location: West Sussex (hybrid – remote work possible)

Contract Type: Part-time / Freelance (Flexible Hours)

Reports To: Marketing Lead

Summary: Set in the stunning grounds of Arundel Castle, our club is one of the most beautiful cricket venues in the world. We host a range of matches - from grassroots fixtures to international games - and serve as a vibrant hub for local and visiting cricket enthusiasts.

We’re committed to growing our presence both on and offline, engaging a wider audience while staying true to our brilliant historic roots, as we endeavour to bring a diet of cricket to life.

We’re looking for a creative Content Manager to lead the development and execution of engaging content across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, community engagement & cricket. You'll be the voice of Arundel Castle Cricket Club online - helping to craft content that reflects our heritage, promotes a diet of cricket, and builds an engaged following and customer base.

You’ll be working closely with the marketing lead to develop the social strategy and approach, and support in wider marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and publish posts across platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok) with compelling visuals and messaging.
  2. Community Management: Engage with our existing and future customer base online.
  3. Live Coverage: Attend selected, key matches and events to capture real-time content (photos, short videos, quotes, etc).
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with club officials, players, volunteers, and local partners to source stories and content ideas.
  5. Analytics & Reporting: Monitor content performance and engagement metrics, adjusting approach to improve reach and engagements.

Skills/Experience:

  1. Regular personal use of social channels and actively follow social creators.
  2. Experience creating social media content, in a personal or professional capacity.
  3. Strong writing and editing skills, with a flair for storytelling.
  4. Strong communication and organisation skills.
  5. Experience with Canva / Final Cut / PhotoShop is useful but not necessary.
