Job summary

Mercator Media Ltd. is seeking an experienced Content Editor & Multimedia Writer. You will craft engaging content for websites, newsletters, social channels, events and podcasts, with a focus on strong storytelling and interviewer-led pieces.

The role emphasises research, interviews and publication-quality material for professional audiences across multiple platforms. Aiming to drive audience growth and commercial objectives, you’ll collaborate with editorial, marketing and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in editorial, journalism or publications-focused roles.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating content for publications, websites and newsletters.
• Confidence interviewing subject matter experts and turning conversations into content.
• Ability to develop audience-focused editorial content across channels.
• Experience planning and managing content across multiple channels.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• B2B publishing, trade media or events experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMS, email marketing platforms and content analytics.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and edit high-quality content for websites, newsletters, publications and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct interviews with industry professionals, speakers, exhibitors and customers, remotely and at events.
• Develop engaging editorial content including articles, features, Q&As, case studies and event coverage.
• Create content plans and editorial calendars aligning with audience engagement and business goals.
• Adapt editorial content for social media, webinars, podcasts and email campaigns.
• Support event promotion through pre-event features and post-event reporting.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing and commercial teams to align content with priorities.
• Monitor audience engagement and content performance to improve effectiveness.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, grammar, style and editorial quality.
