We are an essential resource for laboratory scientists and clinicians to help promote their products, with an expert team to make this happen. Our Headquarters is near Bath and Bristol, and we are an established brand with 25 years of experience as the leader in online scientific publishing.

We support hybrid working here at SelectScience, with up to 2-days a week in our Corston office (for this reason will are only considering candidate based in the UK, and close proximity to Corston, Bath).

About the role

Reporting to the Head of QC, the Content Editor will help drive audience development and help deliver content in a timely fashion and ensure it achieves best practice quality and standards. They will support the sales team and work closely together with our client services department. They will help achieve KPIs, including working to support the ongoing growth of engagement through the new website. They will promote the business and engage with scientists and manufacturers. Monitor published downloadable content and provide a quarterly report on engagement actions and progress, including spotting analytics trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Build out and nurture audience
• Continually build new contacts in the field
• Ensure content output and performance in line with agreed KPIs
• Support social media activity for content published
• Monitor analytics for downloadable resources on a monthly basis, providing a report every quarter
• Support sales by taking part in sales calls and attending meetings with sponsors where appropriate
• Travel to industry events to develop contacts, build media and business partnerships and produces targeted content and event coverage
• Write, edit and proof content

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:
• At least 3 years creating digital content

• Commercial acumen
• Scientific degree
• Experience of working as part of an editorial team and publishing through a CMS
• Eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines

Desirable:
• Line management experience
• Previously worked for a scientific publisher

• B2B experience
