Job description

Social network you want to login/join with:

Carwow Group is driven by a passion for getting people into cars. But not just any car, the right car. That’s why we are building the go-to destination for car-changing. Designed to reach drivers everywhere with our trail-blazing portfolio of personality-rich automotive brands; Carwow, Auto Express, evo, Driving Electric, and Car Buyer.

What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe - over 10 million customers have used Carwow to help them buy and sell cars since its inception. Last year, we grew over 50%, with nearly £3 billion worth of cars bought on site, and a significant number of cars listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.

In 2024, we acquired Autovia, doubling our audience overnight. We now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with over a billion annual views, sell millions of print copies of our magazines, and have an annual web content reach of over 350 million.

WHY JOIN US?

We are winners of the prestigious Culture 100 award, recognizing the most loved and happiest tech companies to work for! We recently raised $52 million in funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners (early backers of LinkedIn and Shopify) to accelerate our growth!

As pioneers, we’re always exploring new territory and positive change. Our work is never done. We see possibilities where others see difficulty—building new experiences, launching new titles, and listening to drivers.

Joining Carwow Group means championing drivers and the automotive industry, acting as a disruptor, and embracing failure as a learning opportunity.

Our team of 500 employees across the UK, Germany, Spain, and Portugal is revolutionizing car-changing. We are expanding our mission across all our brands and countries. Jump in!

THE ROLE

The content editor role is a junior position covering the entire editorial output. You will upload content to our CMS, optimize it for search before and after publishing, and as you gain experience, write more editorial content for our site. Reporting to the reviews editor and working closely with the news team, you’ll ensure content is published timely and meets our standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Publish content on the site’s CMS—writing headlines, editing images, uploading, and formatting copy according to house style.
  • Update existing content—sub-edit web pages to ensure accuracy and SEO optimization.
  • Create new content—writing for reviews, news, and advice sections.
  • Manage the website—quality control and maintenance.
  • Support team members, attend events, and adapt to occasional outside-hours work as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • High standard of written English.
  • Keen eye for mistakes and excellent attention to detail.
  • Passion for cars; driving license is a plus.
  • Ability to understand the site’s audience and create engaging content aligned with house style.
  • Proficiency with CMS and content management tools.
  • Understanding of social media best practices.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles.
  • Basic image editing skills.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Step 1: Talent Screen with Recruiter
  • Step 2: Meet the Hiring Manager
  • Step 3: Case Study
  • Step 4: Values Interview

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Competitive salary to fund your dream holiday
  • Matched pension contributions
  • Share options
  • Private healthcare and eyecare vouchers
  • Life assurance
  • Monthly mental wellbeing sessions
  • Enhanced holiday package and additional days off for milestones
  • Work from abroad option
  • Inclusive parental and fertility policies
  • Childcare support and discounts
  • Latest tech equipment
  • Home office allowance
  • Learning and development budget
  • Regular social events
