A government agency is seeking a passionate Content/UX Designer to develop online tests and assessments. The Online Tests and Assessments (OTA) service provides psychometric tests for recruitment across the Civil Service. In 2021-22, over 1 million online tests were completed on the OTA service for roles across the Civil Service. The use of tests has grown year-on-year, expanding the range of tests offered. The next phase is to replace and expand the current digital service to include tests and assessments beyond recruitment, such as for learning and development.
As a Content Designer in OTA, you will help create test content, including questions, user flows, and guidance to enable users to take tests. This role touches on learning, skills measurement, and occupational psychology.
Team: The service is a multidisciplinary team, including digital specialists, Occupational Psychologists, and Psychometricians.
Our digital team comprises a Product Manager, Delivery Manager, User Researcher, Business Analyst, and Content Designer (this role). The team is supported by a wider community of practice.
The psychology team includes occupational psychologists, psychometricians, and administrative support.
We are seeking a Content/UX Designer to join Government Business Services (GBS) within the Cabinet Office to develop our Online Tests and Assessments offering within the wider recruitment service.
We follow the DDAT job description model for Content Designer and Interaction Designer roles.
Content designers make services easier to understand and use by creating accessible, user-friendly content.
