A UK Government Department is seeking a Content/UX Designer to enhance their Online Tests and Assessments service. This role will focus on user-centred content design, working in a multidisciplinary agile team to improve usability and accessibility. Ideal candidates will advocate for quality content and engage with stakeholders to meet user needs effectively. This position offers a creative opportunity at the intersection of learning and occupational psychology.
The Online Tests and Assessments (OTA) service provides psychometric tests for recruitment across the Civil Service. In 2021-22, over 1 million online tests were completed on the OTA service for roles across the Civil Service. The use of tests has grown consistently year-on-year, expanding the range of tests offered. The next phase involves replacing and expanding the current digital service to support tests and assessments beyond recruitment, such as for learning and development.
As a Content Designer in OTA, you will assist with test content creation, including questions, items, user flows, and user guidance to facilitate test-taking. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of learning, skills measurement, and occupational psychology.

Our digital team includes a Product Manager, Delivery Manager, User Researcher, Business Analyst, and Content Designer (this role). The team is supported by a broader community of practice for each role.
