About the role:

Our CIO is seeking a content creator to join our core IT team. This will be a contract role for an initial three months, with the possibility of extension. It will be a remote position, ideal for someone in the UK or the US.

Required skills and capabilities:

Core Technical Skills:

1. Exceptional attention to detail for formatting, grammar, and style consistency
2. Proficiency with document editing tools (Google Docs, Word, PowerPoint)
3. Experience with content management systems (Confluence, Monday.com)
4. Familiarity with markup languages (HTML, Markdown, Confluence macros)
5. Basic quality assurance for content accuracy and functionality

It's a bonus if you have the following:

Specialised Knowledge:

1. Scientific bench experience (wet lab, biomedical, chemistry)
2. Familiarity with LIMS, ELN, or medical diagnostic software
3. Understanding of technical documentation structure
4. Teaching or educational experience (STEM focus preferred)
5. LMS experience (Seismic/Lessonly or similar platforms)

Additional Valuable skills:

1. Video editing basics
2. Slide design principles
3. Basic instructional design awareness
4. Understanding of accessibility guidelines
5. Collaboration and effective teamwork
