About the role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Content Creator to help bring WWF-UK’s work to life through bold, engaging visual storytelling.

Brand is the umbrella which unites our entire organisation. Our inhouse Brand and Design team is the beating heart of brand creativity, and most of our brand campaigns originate here. We also work with external agencies, and we lead internal teams. This ensures our brand message is central to everyone’s strategy, and that we’re aligned and impactful across all our audiences. You may have seen us across the London Underground and beyond, heard us on the radio and experienced us across the breadth of social channels – we're building our brand and our ambition is to be unmissable.

We champion creativity and good design thinking within the guidelines of our visual and verbal identity, leading brand & communications strategy, brand marketing, brand experience and creative design.

You’ll create high-quality content that helps people connect with our mission, understand the impact of our work and feel inspired to support action for nature.

Working across digital and social channels, you’ll take ideas from initial concept through to final delivery, creating content that is clear, compelling and made for the platform and audience it needs to reach.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Brand & Design, Social Media, Supporter Experience, Corporate Communications and Fundraising, as well as external freelancers and agencies, to develop content that supports campaigns, fundraising activity, events and key moments throughout the year.

This is a hands-on creative role. You’ll be comfortable shooting and editing film, developing visual concepts, creating platform-specific assets and shaping stories from sometimes complex subject matter. You’ll also help make sure content feels consistent with WWF-UK’s brand, tone of voice and visual identity.

You’ll have a strong eye for what makes a story land, and you’ll use that judgement to connect WWF-UK’s work with relevant cultural moments, emerging formats and changing audience behaviours.

You’ll also play an important role in helping us continually improve how we create content, testing new ideas and formats and working closely with the Social Media team to understand what is performing well and where we can do things differently.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, curious and comfortable working at pace. You’ll be able to balance strong creative instincts with accuracy, accessibility and attention to detail, making sure the content you create is engaging, inclusive and rooted in WWF-UK’s expertise and evidence.

Skills and experience

You’ll bring the following skills and experience to succeed in this role:

  • Significant experience creating high-quality visual content for digital and social channels, from initial concept through to final delivery
  • Strong editorial judgement and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex subjects into clear, engaging content for different audiences
  • Experience shooting and editing video content, with strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software
  • Good understanding of social and digital platforms, including formats, audience behaviours and content best practice
  • Experience creating content within an established brand identity, with strong attention to accuracy, accessibility and consistency
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work at pace
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across different teams and responding constructively to feedback
  • Working knowledge of After Effects or other motion graphics and animation tools
  • Confidence briefing or managing freelancers, creatives or agencies
  • Ability to use audience insight or performance data to improve content
  • Familiarity with charity, purpose-led or complex organisational environments
  • An interest in creating content around environmental, social or science-based topics
