Job Description

As part of our social team, you will create engaging content for our Sports channels and support our Social Media Managers to reach, engage, and retain loyal customers:

  • Create channel-specific content for Sports Direct Football social channels, focusing on ‘Lo-Fi High Impact Video Content’ for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Identify TikTok trends and react quickly to drive social account growth.
  • Shoot fast-paced, dynamic videos using the latest iPhone 14ProMax and Sony DSLRs, often editing and ready to post the same day.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure social-first campaign content.
  • Receive briefs from various departments, conceptualize video ideas, and create treatments to meet objectives.
  • Develop original content ideas using new techniques to creatively showcase products and inspire audiences to purchase.
  • Analyze social content performance and contribute to weekly, monthly, and campaign reports.
  • Build social trend reports on industry and social trends, technology updates, competitors, and visual references for social content.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of TikTok, including filming, editing, and features.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok and the broader social/media landscape.
  • Experience with video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
  • Experience working in the sports industry.
  • Proven content creation and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and applying insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of balancing multiple projects and priorities.
