Job description

Content Creative

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Location: London UK (we are only accepting candidates from the UK for this role)

Contract: Full-time, permanent. We would consider part-time for the right person.

About the company

This Never Happened is the independent label founded by Lane 8 in 2016, and is home to artists including Sultan + Shepard, Le Youth, Ashibah, PARIS, Kasbo and Otherwish. With 5 albums released by label boss Lane 8 including his most recent album 'Cross Pollination II', TNH celebrated its tenth year in 2026 and has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams across its catalogue. It has also become one of the most playlisted labels on SiriusXM Chill, appears regularly on BBC Radio 1, and is frequently featured across key editorial playlists.

This Never Happened operates in partnership with Involved Group, based in their London offices. Involved Group runs the record labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and an artist management division, Involved Management, whose roster includes Lane 8, Le Youth and Dusky.

About the role

Lane 8’s This Never Happened is looking for a Content Creative to join the team.

The role is split between video and design. On the video side, you’ll be making content for our artists and the label, often working from footage the artists send us themselves.

On the design side, you’ll own the assets every release needs: packshots, artwork variations, flyers and simple motion. We want someone who can get up to speed quickly and keep those turning around reliably alongside the bigger creative pieces.

We are open on experience. Whether you are a few years in or closer to the start of your career, what matters is the standard of your work and your appetite for the everyday jobs as well as the bigger ones. It is a hands‑on role in a small team.

What you'll be doing
Video
  • Developing and making narrative‑driven video content, from full storytelling pieces through to DJ clips with a point of view

  • Editing footage artists send us into finished video for our channels and theirs, in a way that suits each artist rather than one house style

  • Building cutdowns, recuts and variations so a single clip or shoot stretches across a whole campaign

  • Keeping an eye on what's working elsewhere and telling us when something's worth reacting to quickly

Design
  • Laying out packshots, release artwork variations and flyers from our brand templates

  • Designing imagery for social, the site and our other channels, including title cards and type treatments

  • Adapting campaign assets to each platform's specs so they still look right wherever they land

Motion
  • Creating titles, captions, lyric treatments and light animation so pieces feel finished

  • Animating release artwork for teasers, clips and visualisers

  • Setting up templates we can reuse, so rollouts get faster each campaign

Shooting
  • Shooting simple photo and video in the studio or office, on a phone or a camera

  • Shooting our physical releases: vinyl, boxsets and merch

Working with the team
  • Working day to day with the Marketing Manager, who sets the content and social plan, turning briefs into finished assets on deadline and bringing ideas to the plan

  • Seeing content through after delivery, including how it goes out and what performed, so the next piece is better

  • Writing clear briefs for external editors and designers when a job is too big to turn around in‑house

  • Keeping footage, project files and exports organised so anyone can find them

What we're looking for
Essential
  • Confident editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a reel or portfolio that shows it (personal projects count)

  • Ideas of your own, so we want to see at least one thing you made because you wanted to rather than because a brief asked for it

  • A real feel for video, including pacing, structure and what works for different formats and platforms

  • Working knowledge of After Effects for titles, captions and simple motion

  • Photoshop or Illustrator for layout and imagery work, and happy spending part of your week on it

  • Comfortable shooting photo and video on a phone or small camera

  • Able to take feedback and turn a better version around quickly

  • Organised enough to juggle several small jobs at once without dropping any

Nice to have
  • An interest in electronic music. It isn't a requirement, but you will need to be curious about the world you're making content for
