About The Agency

Our client is a fast-growing creative agency working across healthcare, fintech, property and beyond – helping brands find their voice, sharpen their message, and connect with their audience. They're known for smart strategy, bold ideas, and a genuine, ego-free team vibe with a great culture.

Now, we're looking for a content and communications thinker – someone who's equal parts storyteller, strategist, and sharp copywriter – to help our clients speak with clarity and confidence. A real journalistic instinct for story finding and great copy.

NOTE: The York agency location is quite remote with no public transport so your own transport is likely required.

Why This Role?

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who can go from shaping brand messaging and comms frameworks to writing punchy web copy, social posts or thought leadership pieces – all in a day's work. You'll help uncover what makes a brand tick, find the story that matters, and bring it to life across channels.

If you've got journalism instincts, marketing know-how and the creative spark to turn business objectives into compelling content – we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop messaging frameworks, content strategies, and campaign narratives for clients across sectors
  • Write and edit copy across web, social, email, campaign and brand assets
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand clients' goals, tone of voice, and audience needs
  • Create editorial calendars and high-level comms plans that align with marketing strategy
  • Craft thought leadership and long-form content that drives brand authority
  • Collaborate closely with designers, creatives, strategists and clients
  • Apply SEO principles and content performance thinking where needed
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to speed up research, improve tone, or test variations (but never replace human insight!)

What You Bring

  • Strong writing and editorial skills – with a sharp eye for voice, structure and tone
  • Versatility – from punchy microcopy to big-picture brand messaging
  • Strategic mindset – you see the bigger picture behind every brief
  • Confidence in running workshops or interviews with clients, subject experts and stakeholders
  • Journalism, content strategy, brand comms or copywriting background
  • Comfortable using tools like Notion, Google Docs, Figma (or keen to learn!)
  • Bonus: Experience in healthcare, fintech or property – or the curiosity to dive into new sectors

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Creative freedom and trust to shape work that makes a difference
  • Hybrid, flexible working – with 1 to 3 days in a welcoming, collaborative studio, or communal, hybrid working in the Manchester area.
  • Friendly, ego-free team that values both people and performance
  • Benefits package in progress – your voice will help shape it
  • A genuine chance to shape the agency's content offering as we grow
