Job summary

V.Group is seeking an Electro-Technical Officer for containerships to join the crew aboard ship. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and focuses on the maintenance of all onboard electrical and electronic systems, ensuring reliability at sea.

You will execute UMS test schedules, manage alarm systems, and perform first-level maintenance on critical communications, radio, and navigation equipment. You will also support cargo operations to keep electrical cargo-handling machinery operating

Responsibilities

• The Electrical Engineer (or Electrical Officer) is responsible to the Chief Engineer for the comprehensive maintenance of all onboard electrical and electronic systems.
• This role executes UMS test schedules, manages alarm systems, and performs first-level maintenance on critical communication, radio, and navigation equipment.
• During cargo operations, the officer provides vital support to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical cargo-handling machinery.
