Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing an established manufacturing business in Ellesmere Port recruiting a General Operative to join their workshop team. The role involves refurbishing shipping containers into cold storage units, assisting skilled fabricators, and using hand and power tools in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Operative within a workshop environment would be beneficial
• Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling tasks
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions
• Confident using hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Refurbishment and conversion of shipping containers into cold storage units in the workshop
• Assist skilled fabricators and fitters in daily duties
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks
• Complete finishing work including sealing and painting
• Maintain general workshop housekeeping
