The Opportunity

This is a key role within a newly established team partnering with major players in the Corporate and Investment Banking space, supporting them through complex change initiatives often driven by evolving regulations and strategic transformation needs. You’ll lead the delivery of these programmes end-to-end and contribute to the wider growth of the consultancy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for business performance improvements.
  • Managing risks proactively to ensure successful delivery, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Balancing delivery focus with strategic input—ensuring fundamentals are met while exceeding client expectations.
  • Supporting strategic direction, mentoring junior team members, and fostering a collaborative, values-driven culture.
  • Taking ownership of client project delivery, often in fast-paced, regulated environments.

Additionally, you can shape and grow the business and your career by engaging in initiatives such as:

  • Client Engagement – Supporting pitches, RFPs, business development, and industry events.

About You

You should have a solid background in Corporate and Investment Banking, with experience across asset classes, products, and regulations. Ideally, your experience includes both consulting and in-house roles within financial services.

We’re interested in candidates with:

- A strong commercial mindset, with experience generating significant revenue (around £1m for senior roles), leveraging networks and client relationships.

- Hands-on experience delivering large regulatory programmes in CIB, such as Basel III, FRTB, DORA, operational resilience, or market conduct regulations.

- Knowledge of wholesale lending and transaction banking.

- Ability to assist clients in developing long-term strategies, especially with emerging technologies like cloud, AI, DLT, Web3, and digital assets.

- Understanding of control frameworks (e.g., 3 lines of defence) across the trade lifecycle.

- Exposure to ESG topics is a plus.

- Leadership experience, including managing teams, mentoring, and fostering high-performance cultures.

- Experience supporting proposition development and contributing to sales initiatives.

- A mix of consulting and industry experience, capable of operating credibly with technical and senior client stakeholders.
