Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Surgeon for Vascular Services at Basildon Hospital. The role entails 10 PAs per week, with outpatient clinics and cross-site theatre lists, including on-call duties.

The successful candidate will provide vascular care across Basildon and other sites and contribute to urgent pathways, audits, and MDT discussions in a dynamic NHS environment.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM 2 YEARS NHS EXPERIENCE AS A VASCULAR CONSULTANT.
• ACTIVE NHS VASCULAR ON CALL EXPEREINCE.
• 3 YEARS NHS EXPERIENCE.
• Recently qualified Consultants.
• GMC REGISTRATION.

Responsibilities

• Work across Basildon and other sites providing arterial and vascular services.
• Undertake outpatient clinics and day case theatre lists.
• Participate in on-call rota (1:10) and weekly MDT meetings.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with vascular surgery guidelines and policies.
