Job description

The post holder will support the Bladder Team at the QE and be part of a wider Robotic Pelvic Team that spans across UHB. The Urology service on the QE site includes both Malignant and Benign subspecialties and is continuing to develop through innovation. The post holder will be supported by a dedicated team of specialist trainees and doctors and will have access to outpatient and diagnostic clinics, as well as a robotic theatre on the QE site, to develop the Robotic Bladder Surgical Service. The successful candidate should be fully competent to perform robotic cystectomies and major robotic pelvic surgeries. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to participate in the QE on-call rota, deliver outpatient clinics, and diagnostic work.

Leadership & Governance
  1. Work with colleagues to provide a comprehensive service to the Trust and ensure high standards of care.
  2. Plan service delivery with a focus on innovation.
  3. Contribute to the Trust's strategic objectives and undertake mandatory training.
  4. Meet activity targets set by the Trust.
  5. Participate in the Trust's Clinical Governance program.
  6. Engage in clinical audit activities.
  7. Provide excellent patient care.
  8. Deputise for colleagues, including covering for absence or short-notice needs.
