Job description

Job Opportunity: Consultant Urological Surgeon

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our consultant workforce within the Urology Department at Exeter. We are looking for a consultant urological surgeon with an interest in core urology.

Contract: Full-time (Evening and Weekend flexibility required)

Main duties of the job:

  1. Manage outpatient, day surgery, and in-patient services.
  2. Review outpatients and assess new referrals to the department.
  3. Contribute to strategic planning and service development within the Urology department.
Job responsibilities:
  • Provide high standards of practice and care, in accordance with GMC Guidance Duties of a Doctor, and report any bad practice appropriately.
  • Ensure clinical practice is effective and efficient, with proper monitoring of clinical care.
  • Take ongoing responsibility for patient care and the organization of clinical practice, liaising with other specialties, departments, and outside agencies to meet departmental, CMG, and Trust objectives.
  • Maintain full GMC registration.
