Barts Health NHS Trust is inviting applications for a substantive Consultant Urological Surgeon to join one of the largest and most dynamic NHS Trusts in England. This role will be central to the expansion of our Urology services across multiple sites, including Royal London Hospital, Whipps Cross, and Newham University Hospitals, as well as the newly developed Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at Mile End Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering elective diagnostic services at the CDC, alongside providing non-elective (emergency) care at The Royal London Hospital and operative surgery across RLH and Whipps Cross Hospital. Additionally, the postholder will contribute to the stone and ESWL service at RLH, with the opportunity to develop a subspecialist interest in upper urinary tract robotic surgery and renal cancer diagnostics. The CDC Service runs 8am - 8pm across 7 days, therefore your schedule will be based on these hours and days to support the effect running of the service. The successful candidate will also be put on the on-call rota for The Royal London Hospital.
This is a full-time (10 PA) post, but flexible working arrangements will be considered. Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of receiving their CCT/CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
