The Consultant Lead (Thoracic) at the National Imaging Academy Wales will oversee thoracic radiology education and training across Welsh hospital sites. CONSULTANT LEAD (THORACIC) NATIONAL IMAGING ACADEMY WALES
The successful applicant will be engaged for one session per week at the Academy. The National Imaging Academy Wales is an innovative and developing facility that aims to enhance training capacity and support the safe integration of digital technologies across Wales.
NIAW is located near Pencoed, South Wales. The Academy provides excellent facilities, including a 100-seat lecture theatre, two workstation-based teaching classrooms, dedicated digital training suites, ultrasound and POCUS simulation facilities, and state-of-the-art audio‑visual equipment to support high-quality teaching, research, and service evaluation.
We are seeking an individual with demonstrable expertise and interest in THORACIC Radiology, to lead in the delivery of high-quality education and training at the Academy site. The post will complement and enhance THORACIC training across Welsh hospital sites. Consultants with experience in this area are encouraged to apply and become part of this exciting development.
