Consultant Stroke Medicine - Buckinghamshire

CONSULTANT STROKE MEDICINE VACANCY – Buckinghamshire

We now have another Consultant Stroke opportunity on an initial 12 month NHS Fixed Term Contract.

Our client, based in Buckinghamshire, is an integrated Trust that has recently expanded their Stroke service and opened a second cath lab while maintaining their A grade rating for SSNAP. They have been designated one of eight Accountable Care Systems in the country and named in the top 40 Trusts in the UK.

Vacancy Information
Based in a high performing Stroke Service which has routinely achieved grade A “SSNAP” for the last several years and scores among the best in the country for hyper acute domains including thrombolysis. 24/7 Mechanical Thrombectomy (MT) is available across partnering sites. Transfer rates for MT are currently 5% and rising. Our client is in the top 10% of Trusts nationally for “Door in Door Out times.

Successful appointees will be required to maintain the highest clinical standards in the management of Stroke patients, share with colleagues the responsibility for day-to-day management of the Stroke Service, teach junior staff, actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit, and actively pursue CPD.
