Consultant Software Engineer - Defence-Focused Projects

Location: London (Farringdon)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Clearance: DV clearance strongly preferred. SC-cleared candidates will be considered if eligible for DV.

What You'll Do:

• Design and deliver solutions to complex client challenges by understanding their data landscape and workflow needs.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and operational workflows using both native and integrated technologies.
• Build decision-support tools and front-end interfaces to enable rapid, informed action by end users.
• Apply AI and machine learning techniques to real-world user problems in sensitive or mission-critical environments.
• Work closely with clients in a consultative capacity, fostering strong, trust-based relationships.
• Support knowledge-sharing, upskilling, and technical best practice through internal collaboration and mentoring.

About You:

• Experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or Consultant working within defence, government, or national security settings.
• Comfortable working with a variety of coding languages and data-centric technologies (no specific stack required).
• Proven ability to design end-to-end solutions, from data ingestion to user interface.
• Able to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hold current DV clearance (preferred), or SC clearance with a willingness and eligibility to undergo DV.
