What you will do
  • Lead complex casework and provide expert advice and consultation on safeguarding, child protection, and care proceedings, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Support and develop the practice of social workers, including both new and experienced staff, through reflective supervision, mentoring, and modelling of best practice.
  • Deliver and support high standards of assessment, planning, and intervention in line with national guidance and local policy.
  • Contribute to the implementation of strengths-based, relationship-based practice models.
  • Take a lead role in continuous professional development (CPD) initiatives, including delivering training, leading workshops, and supporting ASYE programmes.
  • Contribute to service development and improvement plans through activities such as case audits and service evaluations.
  • Act as the link between frontline practice and strategic development, identifying areas for innovation or practice improvement.
  • Ensure all practice is compliant with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and regulatory standards.
