  • Contribute to a variety of client projects of a technical actuarial nature;
  • Develop consulting skills through client-facing roles and collaboration with non-actuaries;
  • Take responsibility for delivering work packages on time and to quality standards;
  • Manage a small team of junior members (approximately 1-5);
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues;
  • Assist in business development and practice management activities alongside senior team members;
  • Engage in a wide range of assignments, reflecting the practice's breadth and depth, especially in a changing regulatory landscape.

The key services you could be involved in include:

  • Reserving (GAAP, Solvency II technical provisions, IFRS 17 reporting) for Lloyd’s & London Market, UK, and global personal and commercial lines;
    and finance, capital, and business transformation projects, including post-merger integration, cost reduction, modeling, process modernization, and AI/Gen AI initiatives.

You may also participate in:

  • Underwriting & Pricing Transformation, including model rationalization and re-platforming;
  • Audit support;
  • Mergers & Acquisitions advisory; and
  • Other expert advisory work.

Connect to your skills and experience

  • Experience in the UK non-life insurance industry;
  • Strong reserving background across multiple lines;
  • Ability to apply knowledge practically and commercially;
  • Proven ownership of work packages or small projects;
  • Self-motivated with excellent relationship-building skills;
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral);
  • Knowledge of Python and R is advantageous;
  • Close to qualification or newly qualified.
