Job overview

This post offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple hospital sites with an 80/20 work split between Newham Hospital, Royal London Hospital, and St Bartholomew's Hospital.

These posts also offer subspecialisation within Radiology in disciplines such as MSK, interventional, Paediatric, Neuroradiology, and Gynaecological and Pelvic Imaging.

The successful candidate will be part of a cross-site radiology team supporting high-quality diagnostic imaging services in various clinical settings. The role involves collaboration with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

We seek a motivated individual to join our radiology team. The post is mainly based at Newham University Hospital, with opportunities at The Royal London Hospital or St Bartholomew's Hospital within a subspecialty area.

The proposed interview date is around July 17th.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for patient care, including administrative duties.
  • Leadership and organisation of services, liaising with Imaging leadership.
  • Participation in quality improvement and audit programs, including teaching activities.
  • Providing training for imaging staff.

  • Support and develop imaging services at Barts Health NHS Trust.
  • Contribute to diagnostic radiology services at Newham University Hospital.
  • Participate in the on-call service.
  • Support imaging developments within the Trust and North East London.
  • Provide evidence-based care adhering to standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with hospital colleagues, GPs, and community services.
  • Engage in departmental management and liaise with leadership.

Person specification

Qualifications

  • GMC Specialist Register for Radiology.
  • FRCR or equivalent.
  • CCT in Radiology or within 6 months of acquisition.
  • MRCP/MRCS.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in clinical governance management within NHS.
  • Extensive diagnostic radiology experience.
  • Experience managing MDT activities.

Skills

  • Ability to develop effective relationships within and across divisions.
  • Teaching experience for undergraduates and postgraduates.
  • Honesty, integrity, and ethical awareness.
  • Good ultrasound skills, both general and specialized.
