A leading NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a focus on musculoskeletal imaging. The successful candidate will engage in both general and specialty imaging, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires full GMC registration, FRCR, and an established competence in MSK radiology.
Applications are invited for a Consultant Radiologist post with an interest in MSK imaging. Our department consists of a team of 23 Consultant radiologists, 3 international Clinical Fellows, and 6 Registrars at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.
Applicants must have obtained the FRCR or equivalent, be on the specialist register or be within six months of attaining the CCT at the interview stage.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will participate in the radiological workload of the department. He/she will undertake sub-speciality work in the area of interest in addition to general cross sectional reporting including CT, MRI and ultrasound according to the requirements of the department and the experience of the candidate.
The post holder will work with a team of Radiologists contributing to local MSK Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting and may be required to contribute/deputise for the respective MDTs. The post holder will work across a multi-disciplinary team working with colleagues in other clinical specialities and organisations.
