Job summary

Borders General Hospital in Melrose, Scotland, is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist to join a busy radiology department. The post offers a permanent, full-time position with additional on-call responsibilities and a focus on high-quality diagnostic imaging across CT, MRI, ultrasound and plain film reporting.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the General Medical Council in the Specialist Register for Radiology, or within 6 months of achieving CCT.
• UK work eligibility or sponsorship under Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker visa may be possible.
• Experience with radiology imaging modalities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 7 radiologists serving 120,000 population with high-volume imaging.
• Provide plain film reporting, ultrasound, CT and MRI; participate in image-guided procedures.
• Support on-call service with 1 in 7 duty, including prospective handover discussions.
